Meet Your Massage Therapist!

Hello my name is Shuana Yang. I am a Massage Therapist located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My journey began in 2019! I first discovered my love for holistic health and wellness through massage therapy as an elective course I took in college. As I continued to further my education in the holistic health field, I had the opportunity to experience how healing therapeutic touch is; physically, mentally, and emotionally! I learned how much it heals, to heal. Over the years, I found that in several ethnic groups (for generations) healthy touch is not something that’s commonly practice in house holds. This is something I want to change, and normalize one step at a time by holding a safe space to reiterate touch and healing through Massage Therapy! My goal is to hold a safe space for you to reach your full state of Ataraxis. I look forward to meeting you, and being of assist in your healing journey!

Q&A’S!

Q: It’s my first time, what can I expect?

A: Upon Arrival you will be greeted and an intake form will be filled out regarding your health history. We’ll discuss any questions or concerns you may have, as well as the areas you want to focus on, your goals of your personalized session, and your preference of pressure. After your intake form, the therapist will show you to the room in which the session will take place, your therapist then will ask you to undress to your comfort level and direct you to you lay under the covers facing up, looking towards the ceiling. You will be properly covered and professionally draped at all times. The therapist will only drape the areas that is being worked on, however what ever clothing that is left on may result in residue from the massage product being used. If you ever feel uncomfortable, need the temperature adjusted, need to blow your nose, or you need to use the restroom during your session feel free to let your therapist know! Before the massage session, your therapist will step out to wash their hands, and they will return by knocking and asking for permission before stepping back into the room. During your massage session your therapist will be checking in on you regularly. After the massage session is completed the therapist will instruct you to get up slowly while they step out, and give you time to get dress while the therapist leaves to go wash their hands.

Q: Do I have to fully undress?

A: No! Massage Therapist’s are trained to work on top of clothing!

Q: What can I expect after a massage?

A: This varies by the person. You may experience dizziness soreness, a good night’s rest, light-headed, nausea, bruising, a bigger appetite, tiredness, a boost of energy, relaxation, a clear conscience, a bigger range in motion, increased flexibility, lymphatic draining, etc.
